Exterior paint colors for white brick front ranch?

We are planning on painting our 1970's white brick front ranch . The roof is a charcoal/white architectural asphalt shingle. The front of our home has a large bay window along with a small front porch supported by a post and a two car attached garage. When driving down our street you actually see the side of the house (3 windows) prior the front. We are leaning towards painting the house a medium tan to contrast with the white bricks (which have a tan mortar) along with black shutters on the windows. We are planning on replacing the 70's front door with a solid 6 or 9 panel door and clear sidelight and a full view storm door. We are unsure about the door color, although may paint it the color of the house as the house color will not be on the front of the house.
